How to Register a Marriage Certificate
First Step
- You must first visit the Law Department Register General of Marriages, Government of West Bengal, official website to register online.
- In the middle of the page, on the right-hand side, select the “register your marriage” option.

- When you choose the Proceed option, the application form will show up on the screen.

Second Step
- Proceed to the third section of the form for the specifics of the social marriage, which includes the venue, date, and card of invitation.
- Proceed to the fourth section of the child detail form (you can omit this information if you don’t have it; it’s not required).
- Next, select the marriage registrar using the option for the bride’s or groom’s address.
- Details from the marriage registry show up on the screen. Select the sort of marriage official, along with the district, sub-district, work area, block, police station, and gram panchayat, after selecting one of them.
Third Step
- Now go to the last step of the application form where you have to enter the registration details, select the registration location “Office of the Marriage Officer” or “Outside the Office of the Marriage Officer (within his jurisdiction)”.
