TSRTC Bus Pass:- The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) recently increased the price of passenger tickets and bus passes with the inclusion of a “diesel cess” to balance its daily losses, but even that hasn’t had much of an impact. The total losses or daily revenue it generates are still far short of what would allow it to turn a profit.

The TSRTC runs 2,909 rental buses and 9,384 corporate buses in Telangana. Roughly 42 lakh people are transported by it every day between the state and other states. The company’s daily revenue from ticket and bus pass sales is approximately Rs 13 crore. However, because upkeep will cost Rs 18 crores, the TSRTC will ultimately lose money.

Bus Pass for Students Under 12 Years Old:

Only students under 12 years old are eligible.

• Except on public holidays, free transport is provided every day from the residence to the school and return.
• Cities: Ordinary City Buses up to 22 km in length.
• Pallevelugu Buses cover districts up to 20 KM in length.
• Period of validity: one academic year.
• Those interested may apply in person at the bus pass desk.

Only female students in class 10 and less than 18 are eligible.
