Rythu Bheema Pathakam 2024

The Telangana government came up with the novel idea of the Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme, or Rythu Bima, and implemented it along with many agribusiness initiatives to ensure that farmers would get regular and guaranteed savings. Because it is built on the intelligent online land knowledge base of ranchers—made possible by information technology, online portals, and management information systems (MIS)—this strategy is unlike any other in the nation. These resources are used by all-effort officials to guarantee that the plan is carried out practically and effectively.

Objectives

  • The Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme (Rythu Bima)’s primary goal is to give family members and dependents social security and financial support if a farmer passes away for any cause.
  • In the case that a farmer passes away, their families will find it extremely difficult to meet their necessities.
  • The Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme provides comfort and financial stability to the farmer’s family members who have lost a loved one.
  • Under the Telangana Rythu Bima Scheme, farmers between the ages of 18 and 59 may apply.
  • The government pays the whole premium to the largest public sector insurance PSU in India, the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
  • Regardless of the reason for death, the insured value of five lakh rupees INR (about USD 6928) is sent into the designated nominee account within ten (10) days of the registered farmer’s passing.
  • Given that the majority of the bereaved families are small-scale farmers with little resources and come from underprivileged social groups, the Telangana Rythu Bheema Pathakam Scheme has a significant positive influence on their lives and supports their means of subsistence.

Benefits

Under the Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme, should an enrolled farmer die from any cause, including natural death, the government will pay the insured amount of 5.00 lakhs INR immediately into the nominated nominee account within ten days.
