RTE Admission 2023-24 Maharashtra: The basic information about RTE Maharashtra is that under the Right to Education, Act 25% of seats are reserved for students from economically weaker sections of society. The state government has also ensured that the same percentage of seats are reserved for students of primary classes as for students of class VIII under the Reservation Act in private schools as well. RTE Maharashtra will not only play its role in providing quality education to the students but will also increase the literacy rate of the state as students will be able to access education despite their poor financial backgrounds.

Admission Process 2023-24: Admission Process for RTE 25% Reservation Through Online Application.
Part – I: School Eligible schools need to fill in the following details and obtain the approval of the Cluster/URC Head to make the school available for selection a) School Contact b) Valid age limit for admission c) Total Number for RTE 25% Reservation, (30 Sep 2014) Recruitment & Vacancies d) Exact school location on google map Part – II: Child The steps involved are as follows. 1) Get your application number registered on the system. The application Number and Password will be informed on your registered mobile. 2) Enter the child details and parent details. 3) Find the right address to list schools within 1 kilometre and 1-3 kilometre distance from your home. 4) Select the required standard. 5) Upload the required documents. 6) Confirm the application. 7) After confirmation, take the printed application along with the required documents to the help desk provided. Part – III: Lotteries 1) Schools which have more vacancies and less number of applications will allot seats to all the applicants. 2) Lottery system will be used in schools with fewer vacancies. The lottery will be conducted and drawn by the District Administration i.e. Primary Education Officer for the district. 3) The select list will be published on the system. 4) The list will be made available to the parents under the application login. Admit cards can be printed. 5) Schools will admit students when contacted by parents after meeting essential requirements.
What are the age criteria for Nursery Admission 2023-24?
Children born between October 1, 2018, to December 31, 2019, and children who have completed the minimum age of three years by December 31, 2022, can take admitted to the nursery.
What is the income limit for RTE in Maharashtra?
Students must hold the domicile of Maharashtra state. 25% of seats are reserved for poorer sections of the society under RTE Maharashtra. Income Criteria – Not more than INR 3.5 Lakh per annum.
