The primary goal of the PM Scholarship Yojana 2024 is to award scholarships to the widows and children of police officers who died in service or as a result of terrorist or Naxalite attacks, as well as members of the Assam Rifles and RPF. Under this project, scholarships would be given to the offspring of disabled police personnel from the Assam Rifles, RPF, and RPF. Children will no longer have to worry about money in order to receive an education because the central government will fund scholarships for them to receive an education. The Central Government has introduced the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme for children of Assam Rifle troops and police officers. Beneficiaries will get scholarships under this plan, with monthly awards ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹2,500. Each year, this scholarship will be awarded. Through this initiative, ₹ 36,000 would be given to every female student and ₹ 30,000 to every boy student. Approximately 2000 scholarships will be awarded annually under this program. Boys will get 1000 scholarships among them, and girls will get 1000 scholarships.
All police officers who lost their lives in terrorist attacks or Naxal attacks will have their children benefit from this initiative. The National Defence Fund will give scholarships to the recipients of this scheme. Each month, a male student will receive a scholarship worth 2500 rupees, and a female student will receive a scholarship worth ₹ 3000. The programme will grant approximately 500 scholarships, with 250 going to male students and 250 to female students.
On August 15, 2005, this programme was introduced. in order to motivate the offspring of RPF and RPF to pursue higher education. Through this programme, 150 scholarships are awarded annually. Of these, 75 scholarships are awarded to students who identify as female and 75 to those who identify as male. Under this system, boys and girls pupils receive monthly allocations of ₹2000 and ₹2250, respectively.
