History Of National Service Scheme

The administration’s 1952 draft of the first Five-Year Plan pushed for one year’s worth of social and job study conducted by Indian understudies. Every college in a state has an NSS cell at the university level, which oversees the operations of NSS units situated in schools and colleges. NSS units are volunteer-run by the majority of government and government-aided foundations. It is recommended that establishments use NSS volunteers. There are typically 20–40 understudies in a unit. Stipend Of National Service Scheme

• Every volunteer receives an annual allocation of Rs. 250 for Regular Activities (RAs) and Rs. 450 for Special Camping Programmes (SCPs), which are seven days long and take place in chosen communities and urban slums.
• The NSS Regional Directorates, State NSS Cells, and Empanelled Training Institutes (ETI) are entirely funded by the Government of India.
