Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana: Numerous programs are launched for children by the federal government and state governments. It has been noted that illnesses like anaemia and frailty affect a large number of students at government schools or rural villages. Eating too little food that is high in nutrients is the main cause of this. This causes children to suffer from malnutrition. Therefore, the Rajasthan State Government launched the Bal Gopal Yojana to give them nourishment.

On November 29, 2022, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot launched the free uniform distribution program and the CM Bal Gopal Yojana. Through this program, midday meals and powdered milk will be provided to students in government schools in grades 1 through 8. Two days a week (on Wednesday and Friday) government, madrassa, and special training centre schools received this milk.

The objective of Chief Minister Bal Gopal Yojana

The goal of the Rajasthani government’s Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana is to give young children a healthy diet. You are all aware that some children remain malnourished owing to poverty, which causes them to get unwell. The Rajasthani government created this program, which would give free milk to students in classes one through eight, with this in mind. Children under the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana will receive milk feedings every Tuesday and Friday. The following day will be used to feed the milk if there is a holiday on that particular day for any reason. They will develop physically and mentally and receive a healthy diet if they drink milk.

Benefits and Features of Bal Gopal Yojana

• Our Chief Minister launched this program under the Mid Day Meal Scheme in the 2022–2023 budget announcement.
• Under this program, children at government schools, madrassas, and special training centres will receive milk produced at Powder Mill twice a week.
• Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited (RCDF) will buy and supply this powdered milk under this arrangement.
• Milk will be provided as part of the program on Tuesdays and Fridays, two designated days.
• Milk will be provided for two days if the planned day falls on a school vacation.
• In all government schools, students will receive milk after prayers.
• Milk powder purchased by schools from the Rajasthan State Cooperative Dairy Federation will be reimbursed at the rate
• A pupil in every school would receive Rs 40 to purchase a glass.
• Under the plan, students in grades 1 through 5 would receive 150 millilitres of milk along with 15 grams of milk powder, while students in grades 6 through 8 would receive 200 millilitres of milk along with 20 grams of milk powder.
• This program will result in more students staying in school longer and increasing enrollment.
• Through the program, the mental and physical growth of around 6.56 lakh youngsters will occur.
• The announcement that youngsters will now receive milk six days a week was made in the budget for 2023–2024. On July 1, 2023, children will begin receiving payments.

• Schools will get this milk powder that the RCDF has allocated via door-to-door delivery.

• The Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana would benefit all Rajasthan state government school children in classes 01 through 8.
