To the benefit of all farmers in the state of Odisha, the concerned government of that state introduced the Kalia Yojana. The farmers benefited greatly from the scheme’s implementation, one of which was a rupee 5,000 incentive. The government would give cash assistance to farmers whose names are on the list of beneficiaries of the Odisha Kalia Yojana. Benefits were paid separately to the farmers who lost their lands. The programme helped Odisha’s farmers feel like they belonged and allowed them to go about their business worry-free.
The Odisha government has extended the farmers’ welfare programme KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) for another three years, in addition to granting a budget of Rs. 6029.70 crores for 2024–25 to 2026–27. In order to guarantee farmers’ participation in the state’s financial advancement and to integrate them into society’s financial mainstream, it has been agreed that this welfare programme would be conducted smoothly and incident-free. The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led State Cabinet authorised a projected budget of Rs. 6029.70 crores for the next three years (2024–25 to 2026-27) to support all farming families under the KALIA programmes.

The primary goal of the Kalia Yojana is to assist the farmers in the state of Odisha, as the majority of farmers in our nation are not satisfied with the amount of money they produce. Additionally, it’s likely that the money earned is insufficient to meet their requirements, wants, and children’s educational expenses. Thus, all farmers will benefit from the Kalia Yojana in terms of meeting their needs and wants as well as obtaining loans for other purposes, such as their children’s education.
