Since most farmers in our nation are dissatisfied with the amount of money they produced, the primary goal of the Kalia Yojana is to assist the farmers of Odisha state. Over five seasons, farmers would get cash aid totaling Rs. 25,000/-per household. The recipients of this aid will be small and marginal farmers. The help is given in the amount of Rs. 5,000 every season to help with labor costs and other expenses, as well as the purchase of supplies like seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides.
A cash support of Rs. 12,500/-per household would be provided to agricultural households without land. This support will go toward supporting related agricultural activities such as beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, small goat raising units, mini-layer units, duckery units, and fishing equipment for fishers. This KALIA Yojana benefit is specifically for the state’s SC/ST population.
Vulnerable cultivators and landless agricultural laborers under the KALIA Yojana who are unable to begin farming because of old age, disability, illness, or other reasons will also receive cash assistance. Every year, each vulnerable farmer or landless agricultural laborer would get Rs. 10,000 to help with their subsistence.
