Financial support under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY)

Urban Area

  • The woman will receive ₹ 1400 for her low-performance level, and Asha will receive ₹ 600.

Some important information related to the Janani Suraksha Yojana

  • This program was first launched on April 12, 2005.
  • All of the states and union territories in the country are part of the government’s Janani Suraksha Yojana.
  • The Central Government is in charge of overseeing this program.
  • This program would especially target the following states: Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir.
