The Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana was initiated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ji with 358 chefs in 213 urban bodies of the state with the goal of giving the people of the state two complete meals of delectable cuisine. which the budget statement has now raised to 1000. The Rajasthani government has allocated Rs 100 crore for this project annually. However, 642 additional Indira Rasoi throughout the state are set to begin operations with approval. This kitchen will soon be operational as well. Following that, the government would allocate Rs 250 crore annually for this program in the 2022–2023 budget. 50% of the grant amount under the Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana comes from the State Finance Commission grant that is given to the municipal authorities; the remaining 50% comes from the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund or, if necessary, other sources.
Every kitchen receives Rs 5 lakh for basic upkeep and Rs 1 lakh for ongoing maintenance from the government.
The Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana 2023 provides lunch and dinner twice a day to the state’s impoverished and needy residents. The recipient must pay Rs 8 for a single meal. Currently, meal costs 25 rupees. Of which the state government bears Rs 17. A single lunch used to cost Rs 20. Of which, the beneficiary must pay Rs. 8 and the state government must pay Rs. 12. Lunch is normally served from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., while supper is served from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are 250 grams of chapatti and pickle, 100 grams of veggies, and 100 grams of dal on the platter.
As everyone knows, a poor economic position forces many individuals to go to bed hungry, and in these circumstances, famine kills people. In view of this, the Rajasthani government has introduced the Indira Rasoi Yojana. The primary goal of launching this program is to give low-income individuals access to affordable, wholesome meals.
