Common Service Centers or CSC Digital Seva Kendra were created in 2006 under the National e-Governance Model of the Government of India. It was created as an effort to digitize India. The model for such governance was put forward by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), working under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. ये सेवा केंद्र आम लोगों द्वारा उस क्षेत्र में संचालित किए जाते हैं जहां सीएससी डिजिटल सेवा स्थित है। इन लोगों को ग्राम स्तरीय उद्यमी (वीएलई) के रूप में जाना जाता है। अन्य स्वयं सहायता समूह (एसएचजी) भी अपना कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर खोल सकते हैं। ये लोग अपने क्षेत्र में लोगों को इंटरनेट की सुविधा मुहैया कराकर उनकी मदद करने का काम करते हैं।
