Devnarayan Scooty Yojana: In light of the low rate of female literacy in the state, the Rajasthan government launched the Rajasthan Free Scooty Yojana in 2024 to encourage girls to pursue higher education. Students who have been admitted to any bachelor’s program in Rajasthan who are members of the extremely backward class from the special backward class of Rajasthan origin and who have scored at least 50% in the 12th grade on an exam administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education or the Board of Secondary Education. and maintain a regular study schedule, a merit list based on their percentage of marks will be created, and they will receive a scooter, one year of insurance, and two litres of gasoline (one time only).
The state government will provide 1500 scooters at no cost as part of this program.
Girls from lower socioeconomic classes who are enrolled in this program are not given preference when it comes to being accepted into the 12th grade quickly. Individuals who receive 50% or higher in their first, second, and third years of graduation will receive Rs 10,000 per year for all three years, Rs 20,000 for admission in the first year of post-graduation, and a scholarship in the second year if they receive 50% or higher in the same first year. In a year, a Rs 20,000 incentive will be awarded.
1000 scooters will be given away under this program to kids who graduate from high school with more than 50% of the possible points and enroll in colleges or universities.
Financial aid for higher education will also be given to female students from the state’s backward classes (Banjara, Lohar, Gujjar, Raika, and Rebari) under the Free Scooty Scheme 2024.
